Bedroom ceiling

At last work has been done on out bedroom ceiling that was falling down!

Here it is before the work.

then the battons went up to hold the new ceiling in place

You can see how bowed it is by the packing out they had to do at the edge.

Then new walls and ceiling were plaster boarded and skimmed.

So everything looks nice and smooth no, but we've lost our coving :(

But Paul the plasterer knew a man who still made it in the traditional way from original patterns, so we got him on the case.

Ta dahh here is the ceiling done but not painted yet :)

We are super chuffed with it, and it'll look even better when I've painted it!

Also I've nearly finished stripping the Art Nouveau Fireplace.
